I suppose that anybody who enjoys shopping wants to go to one of the biggest shopping malls in the world. Of our party there were only two, Chuck and myself, who were not into the shopping thing, so off we went to the West Edmonton Mall.
Some of us were paranoid about finding our way back to the car, so we took pictures of our car park row number and the mall entrance number (There were many!).
Here we go!
There were many activities that the paying tourist could participate in. One of the first for the kids was a miniature gold course:
There was an interesting statue symbolizing the root of Edmonton’s wealth, oil:
The mall also held an ice rink.
There was also a pirate adventure area for the kids:
You could catch the big surf in this pool in which half to one meter waves were generated:
After everyone had lunch at the very large food court, we decided to go see the movie, Inception, at the cineplex.
These gargoyles greeted us at the entrance.
There were a number of life size fantasy figures suspended from the ceiling in the cineplex hallways.
And the movie was excellent as well (9.2 on the IMDB scale).
