We proceeded to drive south on the Icefields Parkway until we reached the start of the trail to Sunwapta Falls.
It was actually in another Provincial Park, but that mattered little to us. After all, we were on the hunt for waterfalls.
The river was glacier fed as one can tell by the colour and murkiness (due to “rock flour” from the glacial action).
We had to walk a ways to get there:
