Linda and Chuck went on the Jasper Tramway while Doretha and I went into Jasper to scout around town for a Laundromat. While we were there we had probably the worst Chinese meal in memory. Mind you, it was cheap.
Anyway, this blog entry is about Linda and Chuck on a mountain, not our poor judgement in Chinese restaurants.
Rather unusually, the tram carriages consisted of large single cars. So, the tram didn’t move continuously: rather it only operated every 30 minutes. Here is the entrance:
Once Linda and Chuck bought their tickets, they did some posing inside the tram vestibule:
Here is some scenery on the way up:
Chuck took a number of pictures, before he decided to hike to the top of the mountain.
Stacking rocks in the native Indian manner seemed to be all the rage since the 2010 Winter Olympics which was held in Vancouver.
Linda was quite enamoured of this marmot:
These hillocks were also interesting.
As were these wildflowers (and orange lichen):
Here is a compilation of Linda’s videos that she made while awaiting Chuck’s return from his hike to the peak.
Chuck has returned from his assault on the loftier heights:
Here are some views of the path back to the bottom terminal.
Finally, Linda and Chuck are back safe at Jasper altitude.
