Linda decided that we needed to spend some time at Canada Place. Most recently, this area had been in the news because it was the communications hub for the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver.
There was a good view of the rest of downtown from Canada Place.
It contained the World Trade Centre and an upmarket hotel.
It also provided docking services for cruise ships.
This cruise ship was doced on the north side.
While this cruise ship was docked on the south side.

There was plenty of sea plane action on offer.
I am still baffled as to who takes care of all those flowers.
There is a tugboat and patrol boat out as well.
Here is a view of Canada Place’s characteristic sail profile. It is slightly reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House.
Here is a nice water feature in an urban (all concrete) park near Canada Place.
On the north side walkway, there were a number of tiles on the walkway representing Canadian Provinces, Territories, and cities/places. Here are the ones that represent our trip through western Canada:
