Well on our last full day in Vancouver, Linda decided that it would be a good idea to set the University of British Columbia’s Museum of Anthropology. I was a bit reluctant, but it turns out that it was another highlight of our trip. The museum had a collection of anthropological interest from all of the aboriginal peoples of the Pacific region.
Very surprisingly, there was no restriction on the use of cameras in the museum, although I tried to not use flash which is not good with a lot of glass around anyway.
In this museum there were scores of metal cabinets with drawers containing items not on display that were still accessible to the viewing public. Another thing that was very interesting was that as we all know most museums have far more in the collection than is on display. I thought that was an excellent idea.
We caught the bus from downtown to the UBC bus interchange. From there we caught the UBC loop bus from Bay 15.

We actually spoke to this couple a bit on the bus. They were beginning graduate students (in anthropology) at UBC.

We got up early the next day and caught a plane to San Francisco and from there made the long plane trip back home to Australia. It was a great trip to Canada.
